The Tafton Fire Company is committed to the preservation and protection of life and property from fire, accidents, and emergencies as they occur. In addition, we are dedicated to educating the members of our community in fire prevention. Our web site is packed with exciting new features that help you find out what the department is doing in your community. We also hope you take the time to read through some of our new safety information pages. We will continue to add even more news, events and other information. It's all part of our commitment of providing safety services and information to our community. |

Annually we respond to approximately 350 calls. We also provide support to our neighboring communities through mutual aid agreements. Some of our volunteers are cross-trained as Firefighters, Drivers and EMT's, providing us with the dynamic resources needed to swiftly protect our community and neighbors. |

The Water Rescue Team consists of members trained and equipped to respond to incidents involving open water, swift water, rapid deployment search-rescue/recovery and rapid deployment ice diving-rescue/recovery. The Team is equipped to dive fully encapsulated into many different water environments. Divers, of course, are divers. They're the ones who put on the Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (also known as SCUBA) and go under the water to recover lost items or people. Divers are also trained to perform surface or swift water rescues and ice rescues. |

We are proud to introduce our mascot "Buddy" who is owned by Chris and Jim Ludt. Buddy, a Dalmatian, is a very pleasant and calm dog. We will try to have him out at Parades and other events during the year. |
